About the Designer
Brooke’s first job at 16 was working in a party store, where-you guessed it-she helped customers create invitations and plan celebrations. Ever since, she has been drawn to all things design. After almost 15 years in the corporate world, becoming an expert on ink, papers and the printing process, she had the opportunity to launch her own full time business. And she hasn’t looked back.
In addition to graphic design, Brooke has always had a knack for decorating and making a home a “home.” After completing numerous renovations of her own, she now consults with home buyers and home owners on their renovation projects. This includes construction recommendations, color palette planning and material selections. If you’re searching for a home but have trouble seeing the potential, or if you’re not sure what updates to make on getting your existing home ready to put on the market, Brooke can be your “secret weapon” in maximizing your potential.
Where did the name Jack & Gretel come from?
Two co-workers (Brooke and Shelley) teamed up to design invitations and party decor for their friends and family. It turned into an amazing friendship and the business became Jack&Gretel. Why Jack&Gretel? Jack is Shelley’s dog, while Brooke’s maiden name is Hansell (and she always thought if she had a dog she would name her Gretel…but never did!). They decided the two names together made them happy. Their friendship and collaboration transcends time as they continue to help each other through projects, both large and small.
